⛅️Is it too early to start talking about cooling? When growing apples it’s critical to keep the core from getting above 85F … a great way to do this is overhead cooling (evaporative cooling) using sprinklers. The water droplets evaporate and absorb heat from the surrounding air creating a cooling effect.
🌡️ Start your cooling system when core temperatures get to the high 70’s (depending on variety 🍎as some can be more sensitive than others 🍏)
⏱️ A typical schedule we see is 20 minutes on 40 minutes off

Loving this Micro Bird Jet – E Pattern downspray. It’s great for plant “E”establishment. In a couple years, this grower can flip the deflector over to the larger “A” pattern and … in a couple more years they can even move the stake further from the base of the tree so the watering pattern can grow with the root zone.
